Delete your Grocket account
You can delete your Grocket account and its associated data at any time, by either method below. Neither requires you to reinstall the application.
Before you begin: cancel any subscription
Grocket subscriptions, where offered, are billed by Apple or Google rather than by us. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription and does not generate a refund. Cancel first in your Apple ID subscription settings or in Google Play subscriptions, then delete the account.
Method 1 — in the application
Settings → Account → Delete account.
Method 2 — by request
Email privacy@opportunityflywheel.com from the address associated with the account, with the subject line Delete my account. We will confirm the request, complete the deletion, and notify you when it is done. If the email address cannot be matched to an account, we will ask you to identify it rather than delete another.
What is deleted
- The account and its sign-in identifiers
- Recipes, shopping lists, and saved stores
- Household information and any dietary preferences, restrictions, or allergies
- Application settings
- Any receipt images still within their retention period
Deletion is completed within 30 days and is permanent. A deleted account cannot be restored.
What is retained
- Contributed price observations. The item, store, price, and date of prices you confirmed or scanned remain in the shared price database. These contain no information identifying you. If price contribution was disabled, no such records exist.
- Records required by law. Transaction records retained for tax or accounting purposes, and records retained for fraud prevention or security, for as long as the applicable obligation lasts.
